All information given by representatives of Design Fix is given in good faith. The user should satisfy themselves that details are up to date and appropriate for their needs.

The Consultation: 2 hours are allocated for an initial consultation, during which time the relevant areas of the property will be viewed and discussed with the Client. Any area with inadequate or inappropriate access, such as lofts and cellars without full staircase access, will not be included. The Consultant reserves the right to exclude areas they feel are unsafe. Advice is generally of a cosmetic nature therefore fixtures, fittings and structural details are not covered.  If the client meeting takes less than the 2 hrs, then the remaining time will be spent on research/sourcing etc. If the consultation runs over the allocated 2hrs then any additional time will be charged at £30/hour.

Travel: Design Fix are willing to travel up to 1 hour/50 miles to an appointment. Time/mileage beyond this will be charged at 50p per mile/£30 per hour pro-rata.

Payment: Full payment for the initial consultation is required at the time of the first visit. Additional or further services require a payment of 50% at the time of commission with the remaining balance due on the presentation of the written report and/or details of decor scheme(s) where relevant. Payment can be made by bank transfer, in cash or by cheque (NB clearance of cheque payment is required).

Time logs: Time logs are kept for each project. These logs are available for inspection by the associated customer.

Written report/action plan/advice provided: All advice, written or verbal, is provided as a result of viewing the property and/or a photograph of the property and by information provided by the Client. Before taking any actions proposed by Design Fix, the Client should be satisfied that the recommendations are cost effective and that adequate and relevant health and safety precautions are implemented. Design Fix and its representatives can not accept responsibility for and loss, injury or inconvenience sustained be persons using/implementing information/advice supplied by Design Fix or viewed on the Design Fix website. Whilst every effort is made to provide up to date product details and prices, Design Fix can not be held responsible for price increases or product discontinuation/changes.

Design Fix and/or its representatives do not supply structural advice. Before attempting any such work to your property you are strongly advised to acquire professional advice and guidance from a qualified expert in the relevant field. Where necessary the Client should obtain any required Planning and/or legal advice from a Professional Advisor and any Planning/Building Regulation consents from the appropriate authorities.

The home staging/styling service provided by Design Fix does not guarantee the sale of or increase the value of the property. Vendors must also consider location, price and current market trends. Design Fix cannot comment on property values.

Purchases made on behalf of the Client: Design Fix will provide the Client with a breakdown of the recommended products with details of estimated costs. Design Fix will require payment by pro-forma invoice before items are delivered. Ownership of the goods/materials will remain with Design Fix until such time as the payment is cleared. Any loss or damage to goods/materials supplied to the Client or Client’s premises will be the responsibility of the Client.

Late payment/returned cheques: Overdue accounts will incur a fee of 10% from  the due date of the payment. Any bank charges incurred by Design Fix for returned Client’s cheques will be added to the Client’s account and the related invoice(s) treated as overdue.

Cancellation policy: 25% of the fee is payable for cancellation within 24 hours of the agreed appointment time.

Hiring of Services/trades: Design Fix may recommend companies for the supply of products or services such as plumbing, painting & decorating, joinery, electrical etc. However, the Client will need to enter in to contracts with and make payments directly to the service provider. The Client must satisfy themselves with the expertise, qualifications and insurance cover of the trade supplier before asking them  to carryout any work. Design Fix is not responsible for the services and good provided by them and they will operate under their own terms and conditions.

Design Fix is not responsible for the services and good provided by them and these businesses will operate under their own terms and conditions. Customers should satisfy themselves with the suitability of the product/services provided before entering into a contract with them.
